memories from when I was growing up was going on our family vacation every summer to see my family in Illinois! I was inspired to write this because my grandma went to heaven yesterday :( It is hard to let her go and to think I'll never get another letter from her telling me about her beautiful flowers and her cute cats or another phone call asking me how I'm doing. I know she's in a better place. But selfishly I wish her and my grandpa and dad all were still here...If I could have just one wish it would be just for ONE day to be in that grey mini van with my mom, dad, brother, and sister driving on that turnpike heading north to grandma and grandpas! We did it every summer and we would leave around 2 AM and drive strait through! I would be so excited I could hardly sleep! I remember the nights before me and my sister would 'organize' our side of the car with our toys and my baby dolls :) Brian always sat in the middle bench by himself. My mom always packed some snacks and lunches and a cooler for all our food. We had music not CD's back then lol cassette tapes :) I enjoyed seeing all the beautiful scenery and counting down the hours and I always asked my dad "are we closer to home or grandma's?" at least 30 times through the trip! When we would finally reach the Mt. Vernon exit I was sooooooo excited and anxious to run out of the car and be first to ring the doorbell and always greeted by grandma and grandpa and Molly barking :) the house always smelled amazing! Grandma was always cooking or baking something yummy! I loved sitting around the dining room table with grandma and looking through magazines of clothes and house decorations that was a lot of fun and we had the same taste in everything! These are the memories I will cherish for the rest of my life. I love you Grandma! Thank you for everything you did for me and all the things you taught me. See you soon
*I loved sneaking up on grandma and scaring her when she was doing laundry she always laughed and said I was going to give her a heart attack!
*I loved when she gave me cookies to feed the squirrels!
*I loved drawing pictures for her!
*I loved when she let me help her when she was baking
*I loved when grandma told me stories! I could listen all day!
*I loved listening to grandma period. When my mom was on the phone with her I would get real close to hear her voice :)
*I loved that she was there for me at my dads funeral when I started crying because I didn't think it looked like him she pulled me to the side and said "when you look at him from this angle it looks like your dad"
*I loved watering the flowers with her!
Just a few of the million memories I have

Oh gosh...I had no clue that happened at dad's funeral...I never went up to look at him, and I was so high on Oxycontin and in so much pain, I had no clue what was going on around me. Sweet Grandma. She was the best!
