One of my favorite....

memories from when I was growing up was going on our family vacation every summer to see my family in Illinois! I was inspired to write this because my grandma went to heaven yesterday :( It is hard to let her go and to think I'll never get another letter from her telling me about her beautiful flowers and her cute cats or another phone call asking me how I'm doing. I know she's in a better place. But selfishly I wish her and my grandpa and dad all were still here...If I could have just one wish it would be just for ONE day to be in that grey mini van with my mom, dad, brother, and sister driving on that turnpike heading north to grandma and grandpas! We did it every summer and we would leave around 2 AM and drive strait through! I would be so excited I could hardly sleep! I remember the nights before me and my sister would 'organize' our side of the car with our toys and my baby dolls :) Brian always sat in the middle bench by himself. My mom always packed some snacks and lunches and a cooler for all our food. We had music not CD's back then lol cassette tapes :) I enjoyed seeing all the beautiful scenery and counting down the hours and I always asked my dad "are we closer to home or grandma's?" at least 30 times through the trip! When we would finally reach the Mt. Vernon exit I was sooooooo excited and anxious to run out of the car and be first to ring the doorbell and always greeted by grandma and grandpa and Molly barking :) the house always smelled amazing! Grandma was always cooking or baking something yummy! I loved sitting around the dining room table with grandma and looking through magazines of clothes and house decorations that was a lot of fun and we had the same taste in everything! These are the memories I will cherish for the rest of my life. I love you Grandma! Thank you for everything you did for me and all the things you taught me. See you soon
*I loved sneaking up on grandma and scaring her when she was doing laundry she always laughed and said I was going to give her a heart attack!
*I loved when she gave me cookies to feed the squirrels!
*I loved drawing pictures for her!
*I loved when she let me help her when she was baking
*I loved when grandma told me stories! I could listen all day!
*I loved listening to grandma period. When my mom was on the phone with her I would get real close to hear her voice :)
*I loved that she was there for me at my dads funeral when I started crying because I didn't think it looked like him she pulled me to the side and said "when you look at him from this angle it looks like your dad"
*I loved watering the flowers with her!
Just a few of the million memories I have

Thanksgiving & Christmas tree

Thanksgiving was a great day! The food was amazing as always and it was fun to hang out with my family. I got to play madden with my brother and that was a lot of fun! I think miss Kylie enjoyed herself too she is very social and loves people! I gave her a tiny bit of sweet potatoes from my finger and a tiny bit of cool whip which she loved lol :)
We set up the Christmas tree the day after thanksgiving! It was a lot of fun! Kylie was very curious about the big box and she seemed excited as we were setting it up! Her favorite was the lights and putting the ornaments on with daddy!
I went black Friday shopping with my mom, it was a lot of fun we got up at 4 (I know we are crazy) and headed off to Home Depot and Toys r Us and then stopped by JcPenney on our way home. I got Kylie these adorable socks with an animal on them and my mom got her a ginger bread girl from build a bear! It was a lot of fun and I'm glad I got up to go with her, Kylie stayed home fast asleep with my grandma and was still sleeping when we got home :)

1st Anniversary

I was inspired to write about it since I found my old blog and loved looking back so here it is! It started out with the doorbell ringing and me getting beautiful flowers with a note from Paul :) I remember it was freezing cold I think it was record cold for Florida! We went out to the mall in the afternoon and he bought me a white and pink pair of Pumas and then he bought a Hurley sweater and we drove to City Place! We walked around I think I had 4 sweaters on and I was still shaking :) We ate dinner at Cheesecake Factory and came home to eat our cake from 1 year ago! It still tasted good to us! :) Paul brought our mattress out into the living room and lit candles and put them all around the bed it was so romantic and a good change of scenery. We relaxed and watched a movie together! I remember being worried about Reesie being to cold, her cage was covered and we put a lamp right next to her cage for heat :) When we woke up that next morning our power was out and we were holding onto each other to keep warm! It was such a great day and night! Here are some pictures!

Proud Mommy :)

In my online mom group we have picture contests every other week and my angel won 3 weeks in a row I was so proud :) Daddy was very excited every time I showed him that his baby won :) Here are the pictures!
Week 1: Wild Card (Fav pic of all time)
Week 2: Naked Baby
Week 3: Messy Faces

This will be funny to look back on :)

So last night I was in the kitchen holding Kylie getting her bottle ready and I see a HUGE fly go past me it freaked me out at first and (with Kylie in my arms) I was running all around the kitchen and front part of the house trying to swat it with a paper towel that didn't work to well so I got out the broom I was hitting mid air and banging walls and Kylie thought it was the funniest thing I have never heard her laugh so hard..I guess it was pretty funny watching her mom try to kill a fly with a broom..I did end up killing it so that was our fun night lol :)*Always have to add pictures of my angel :)*

Baby names!!! :)

We have both decided that we are not sure we want another baby..we just want to enjoy Kylie for a few years and then maybe around her 4th birthday we'll talk about another one! But it's SO much fun thinking of future baby names :) I have a bad memory so this is for future reference in case I forget lol if we have a boy his name will be Landon Joseph we have had that picked out for a few years I don't care who has that name but that is non negotiable lol! And for girls..:) I loooove girls! I could have 5 daughters and be happy! My latest name I love is Reagan! Also I like Aubrey...We considered Jordyn as a name for Kylie but it's kind of manly for a girl. lol. Hmm Sydney, Lily, Taylor, but again kind of manly and Brooklyn :) Basically twin girls would be fun :)

My old blog!!!

My sister found my long lost blog from 2008/2009 :) I decided to copy and paste it here so I can always look back at the memories :) This also inspired me to do a blog on our 1st anniversary and the things I can remember from our 1st and 2nd year of marriage! This should be fun so I can have a little diary of my life to always look back on :) so the next several posts are from that old blog.

Excited about the next few months!

The house is clean, laundry folded and put away, and I have about 2 hours till my sweet hubby comes home from work :) I should be doing my p90x ab workout but I'm procrastinating : / oh wellll. I'm SO excited about so many things coming up!!!! In a month me and Paul are moving out of this apartment and moving into a really big house!!! =) apartment life is not so much fun....The walls are way too thin and there is no privacy lol best of all we'll be living about 5 minutes away from my sister and niece!! I can't wait there's about 30 days left...I really should start putting things in boxes....but procrastinating is more fun. Also, I'm going to be trying out for the soccer team at my school!!!! I'm super excited! If there's one thing I miss from high school it's definitely playing soccer!! =) even if I don't make the team, I'm excited to put my cleats on and run around for a couple hours! Oh and then there's Thanksgiving!! I want to have the family over this year and cook! Hopefully it works out and I don't burn the turkey! lol. This will be our 1st Thanksgiving as a married couple..awww! and then Christmas! I always get SO excited about Christmas.....the decorating, the baking cookies, The occasional cold fronts :), and of course, celebrating the birth of Jesus! And shortly after that is our 1st Anniversary! Life is GOOD. Oh and how could I leave out FOOTBALL SEASON!!! Enough said there!

My Sister and Emma =)

On Thursday I drove up to palm beach to spend some time with Heather and Emma! We had a lot of fun! We went to target, hung out at the house and took Emma to the doctor. She is so much fun to be around, she learned how to feed her baby a bottle and it was so cute to see her doing it! She has such a cute personality!!! I felt so bad for her at the doctor she had to get 4 shots :'( she cried really hard...I wish I could have taken the shots for her but she's a strong girl. I got to see her again today, my mom is watching her and she brought her down and I went over....She's SO funny...my brother has drums from rock band sitting out and she KNOWS there 'Uncle Brians' so she would touch them and look behind her directly at my brother to see if he would say no or let her...she was testing him LOL it was too funny. She's a smart little girl I love her!!! OH!! and on the way to the doctor, my sister reached her hand back to Emma's car seat and Emma grabbed her hand and rubbed it against her face and was saying "awwww" she loves her mommy!!!!
Loving mommy :)

Reesie

Paul bought me a guinea pig on Saturday! I am SO excited!!! She is black and golden brown and we named her Reesie! She is 13 weeks old and she's so sweet. For the first couple hours she was scared to death and wasn't eating and I felt so bad but we sat next to her cage and talked to her and she started eating, drinking, and exploring her new house. Today I put her in her playpen on the floor so I could clean the poop out of her cage and she was running all around and she's so cute to watch :) she still gets a little nervous if we walk by her cage fast or she doesn't see us coming but she's doing very well especially considering her age =)

Just Random

I am taking a break from cleaning and laundry....oh man! So tired..I am very excited because starting tomorrow Paul is off till Saturday! I love his days off, we always have so much fun together :) I have never loved school so much, online classes are not only way easier but it's so convenient because when I'm bored I just do a quiz and get ahead that way when Paul has a day off I can spend it with him and not doing school! It's so awesome I feel like such a nerd.. I'm taking Human Development as an elective and It's pretty interesting already and good information to know for when we have kids. My teacher called me sexist because he told us to write something interesting about yourself and I wrote that I'm a pretty good madden player for a girl...lol oh well.

I'm listening to "I WIll Rise" by Chris Tomlin that song is SO amazing! I love it! I first heard it at our church....the worship music there is just crazy, we really love our church and are both involved in the tech team..Paul does sound and I sit next to him and I put the words of the song on the screen it's pretty awesome thing to serve God together. Our church is currently going through the process of finding a new pastor, I really hope and pray we find a really great one who has a heart for community outreach!

Oh and I was bored and found this really cool website its befunky.com and you can do cool effects on pictures! Here is some of my amazing work. lol

Oh Little Piggie....

The only person who knows about this is Paul...for the past month I have been DYING to get a Guinea Pig..They are SO cute! I do not know where this came from...NO ONE we know even has one lol. At first Paul said no....that lasted for about an hour then he went to a maybe with a smile on his face :) hehehe...I am way too spoiled...I've researched them and we went to many pet stores looking. I do not want a dog there so loud with barking and they smell it annoys me and he doesn't like cats....hamsters and gerbils are not as cool, bunny's are cute but I want a piggie!!!! =) There really hard to find tho I guess because of all the Disney movies with them in it... I found a place that sells them and they have a lot of them I heard it's not good to buy them at pet stores because there not treated right and not taken care of properly :( so sad. If in a couple months after we move and settle down and I'm still this crazy about getting my piggie then we'll probably get one!!! YAY :)

3 or 4 years ago...

I wrote this and I put it up on myspace but I'm going to be deleting that soon and not sure where this is saved on my computer so I'm putting it here so I'll never lose it :) I go back and read it every now and then and it amazes me because I never thought I could write something so deep. God definitely inspired me to write that and I'm glad he did, even if no one ever reads it, it's good for me to look back on and see how amazing God really is! =)

                                     The Perfect Father
When I was being formed in my mothers womb, you protected me and molded me to be what you wanted me to be. When I came out and was scared and confused you were right there to comfort me. When I learned how to walk, you held my hand so I wouldn't fall, and when I did you picked me back up. when I had nightmares or was scared of the dark, you were there to put your arms around me. When I learned how to talk and disobeyed my parents for the first time, you weren't proud, but you still never left my side. when I accepted you into my life, you sent a part of you to live inside me to guide me, and you were pleased. When I lied to my friends or was selfish, you were dissapointed. But you never walked away from me. When i went to church to learn about you, you were happy. when i did things to hurt people intentionally, you forgave me and didn't leave. When i went to High School and started to conform you tried to tell me not to, but slowly i started to push you away and ignore you, but you still followed me wherever i went holding out your hand to me. When it was time for my Dad to go be with you, i didn't want anything to do with you, i cursed at you, blamed you, rejected you, and did bad stuff on purpose just to "get back at you" and show you that i didn't care about you.You were hurt, but you never got mad, never gave up, never loved me less, you were still right behind me holding out your arms telling me that if i turned around, you could take away my hurt. when i finally realized that you do care about and love me i asked you to forgive me and without hesitation, you wrapped your arms around me and never once remembered what i did to hurt you. When i had my 1st Boyfriend, and took all the focus i had for you on him, you were hurt, but again you just followed me extending your hand for me to grab. When things didn't go well at all and i felt like my heart was broken into a hundred pieces, you were so close behind me that you caught all the pieces, put them together and carried me.When i finally realized the fact that you will never leave me, break my heart, judge me, forget about me, or hurt me i knew that in spite of all i did that didn't honor and glorify you, you were always there, waiting for me to hold the hand that you extended to me when i was born, and i did, now it's you and me walking hand in hand, and your taking me somewhere Iv'e never been, revealing little by little the amazing future you have in store for me. Thank you for always being there for me and never giving up on me. I love you so much.

My Thoughts on Starting a Family....

I haven't done this in a LONG time which will explain the two posts in one day. We have been asked since our wedding day (lol) when we're going to have a baby. I think babies are a huge blessing from God and we're excited to become parents sometime in the next 2 to 3 years...we are in NO rush, we are having too much fun right now and enjoying just the two of us ;) when that time comes we'll both be nothing but excited but I couldn't even imagine the thought right now. Babies are a lot of hard work and once He/She is here, He/She is not going anywhere lol we'll have the rest of our lives for having sweet little babies but the first few years we want all to ourselves =) I would like 3 possibly 4 and I want them at least 3 years apart so I can enjoy each baby stage :) hehe. I used to want all girls but lately been thinking a little man would be nice too! Whatever God gives us, I'm happy with. That's all for now, oh and in case we accidentally get pregnant in the near future we'll be nothing but happy so don't worry :)

Speaking of babies...Emma Mackenzie Wells is the cutest little thing...I absolutely LOVE my little niece! :) She has Uncle Paul wrapped around her little fingers too...he can't resist her especially when she's begging for more french fries! ha ha.

Going On 8 Months!

So.... before we got married random people would warn us about the first year of marriage being so hard and fighting a lot and all this different stuff. Well that just proves why people shouldn't listen to each other! We have had nothing but fun and I can honestly say we never get sick of each other or annoyed we're so mushy I ask him all the time why were such a weird couple lol maybe we're still in the "honeymoon" phase or whatever but i think it's just because we have SO much in common, he even helps me cook sometimes which is a lot of fun and he comes in the kitchen without me asking and does dishes!!! He is such a sweet hubby I love him so much. I asked him last night if he's happy and he said "more than you know, baby" and I said "will you ever tell me if your not happy?!" and he said "No, because that day will never come"... awwwwww =) lol I give God ALL the credit for our happy marriage, granted it's not even been a year yet, but if we keep Him in the center of our marriage, we're going to get stronger!

This was taken on our honeymoon in grand Cayman

Our Wedding

The day that I have been dreaming of since I was a little girl finally came and now I'm a married woman :) The wedding day went so perfect and I would not change anything.
My sister kept me sane so I wasn't stressed out thank God. Once I started getting dressed I got a little nervous but once I saw him and started walking down that aisle it was just me and him in there and I forgot about my nerves. The ceremony went by SO fast next thing I knew the pastor said you may now kiss the bride :) Then we took a million pictures and were off to the reception! I was really excited because it was more laid back and I could relax! The reception also went by kind of fast, We ate, took outside pictures, danced, did the bouquet and garter toss, cut the cake, and we were out of there! It was a lot of fun and I'm really blessed to have had that experience and also blessed for all the help I had along the way, my mom and bridesmaids and even Paul helped out so much! We spent that night at the Hilton Resort on Ft. Lauderdale beach, it was a beautiful suite with an ocean view and rose petals all over the room...I will never forget that day

Dream Finally Becoming a Reality

Well the wedding is in a little over 2 weeks and it's FINALLY starting to hit me that I'm getting married!!! It's so exciting but at the same time a little sad to pack up all my things and leave my house and my mom. I will be 10 minutes away but it's still a big change that I will have to adjust to! Everything is finally starting to come together, all the little details that I thought wold never get done are getting done! We painted the lattice's Saturday and they look really great, I can't wait to decorate the church the day before! To be honest, I just can't wait for it to be over and us be on our cruise! I've never been on one before so I can't wait!!!

Yesterday the family came over and we ate yummy food and played madden and wii and watched football :) What a great day. Paul helped me make those yummy peanut butter chocolate cookies. They are amazing! I can't believe Christmas is in 3 DAYS!!!! And Emma gets cuter every single time I see her, I don't know how it's possible but it is! Here is my favorite picture of the angel girl! I can't wait to see her open presents lol.

One Month Away...

Ok, so the wedding is officially in 4 weeks! I guess I won't believe it till it comes but it still seems like a dream to me.. I still have a lot of things to take care of, putting ribbon on my center pieces, seating arrangement, calling all the wonderful people who didn't RSVP, stuffing favors, ordering cake, AHHH!!! Maybe instead of doing this I should be taking care of this stuff lol. I am a very weird bride....I don't get stressed very easily and I always have back up for everything in my mind like if my hair lady can't do it, ill have my sister in law do it and hair is not important at all to me. Neither is the flowers, or any of that I mean I hope everything goes well and nothing crazy happens but the wedding is only for a day I'm more focused and excited about our marriage and the future!

I can't wait to move in to our apartment and DECORATE!!!! Hanging pictures on the wall and making it our place! I can't wait! I'll post pictures when it's all done...:)

AND Emma has nothing to do with this post but she's just so stinkin' cute that I had to include her ;) She gets up on her hands and knees now and rocks back and fourth lol it is the cutest thing I have ever seen and she LOVES dogs...when we chase maggie and pennie she laughs so much!!! Too cute. Here is a picture of me and the princess...

Bridal Shower!!!

My shower was... to say the least, amazing!! I had so much fun and got so many cute things! I'm really blessed to have such an awesome big sister who pulled it off for me! The room was decorated so cute in my favorite color =) The games, the devotional..it was something I will never forget. I still can't believe I just had a bridal shower...and the wedding is 50 days away!!! That blows my mind... I'm just really thankful to everyone who helped my sister to make it such a memorable shower for me! :)

Moving Out?!?!

Soooo... Me and Paul found an apartment in Pembroke Pines!! It's really cute and it's perfect for us..nice and cozy:) I thought about being the one to move out and live there first and was going through with it, until today. Paul came over to take my night stand to start the process of moving all my stuff and the second we got in the parking lot I bust out crying because I didn't wanna live by myself and I really love my room and was sad to see it getting taken apart. I've slept in there for 20 years, It's not easy to just pick up and go. Soooo he said I don't have to do anything I'm not comfortable with and that he could live there till the wedding. I feel sooooo much better about it, and I get my room for a few more weeks:)

Invitations & Emma :)

So we decided to do our own invitations with a kit, it saves a lot of money and it's good especially since they will mostly end up in peoples trash cans! We got to pick the font, do whatever we wanted with them and printed them all out one night, which may seem boring but not with me and Paul doing it! :) We had itunes playing and both singing to every song, it was a lot of fun....the worst part is printing the envelopes because we have to copy paste addresses and its just annoying and takes forever so we still have half of those left to do! ugh...but it will be done soon and definitely be worth it! I will recommend this to any bride to be! Even cutting, tying and gluing ribbon on 100 invites isn't stressing me out...Thank you God and thank you baby:)

So I watched Emma all day yesterday, after flying up the turnpike at 6 AM trying not to be late (sorry Heather) we finally got back home and I really enjoyed my day with her, she is the sweetest baby and so funny! I was feeding her a bottle and when I made eye contact with her and smiled, she would stop drinking and smile back and it was so cute that I started laughing and she looked at me and stopped drinking again and screamed at me lol it was awesome. I love her!!!

Wedding Planning

I must say that having Paul be involved in the whole process has been one of the reasons I'm not so stressed. He has been more than helpful to me, we have A LOT of fun doing everything together and when he sees me about to start losing my mind he'll step in even more and help get it done! Couldn't ask for more, He really is a dream... That being said I have a to-do list from my MOH lol (Matron of Honor) and were pretty much finished! Yesterday was picking out the tux and buying bubbles at target, which are really cute by the way :) today is our first pre-marital counseling!! Yay We're both excited and very thankful to God for bringing us together, we know without a doubt that it's all because of Him....

January 9, 2009

I can't believe our "Big Day" is almost here! It seems like just yesterday that I was playing with my baby dolls, changing diapers and giving them baths, pretending they were real. lol. Now I'm getting married!! We both can't wait and are SO excited :) I'm really enjoying the planning part so far, not too much stress, I know that's going to change in the next few months! Overall this is all I dreamed that it would be and I can't wait to walk down the aisle in my beautiful dress to the man of my dreams :)

Little miss into EVERYTHING!

Kylie is so much fun to follow around! This little girl is SO busy! If she's in her walker she walking around fast now and knows how to get around by herself, she'll come into the kitchen to see me and she goes down the hallway towards our bedroom yelling for "dada" lol it's so funny! She broke the hands off one of my willow tree angels and is always reaching for things she's not supposed to have. She loves Reesie and is always visiting her and banging the cage (poor Reesie) I love every minute of it! I am glad that she is happy and healthy :) She also crawls and stands up on everything, it's amazing all the things she can do now! She crawled towards Paul when he got home from work a couple days ago and pulled herself up on his leg and put her arms up for him to pick her up :) I am loving being her mommy!!!
